Email is Not Secure
Standard email travels through multiple servers before reaching its destination. At any point, it could be intercepted. If you are emailing bank statements, medical records, or employee contracts, you are taking a massive risk.
How PDF Encryption Works
When you password-protect a PDF with PDFSense, we wrap the file content in a mathematical lock (AES Encryption). The content itself is scrambled into noise.
Without the mathematical key (your password), this noise is impossible to reverse. Even if a hacker steals the file, they cannot see the invoice amount, the patient name, or the trade secrets inside. It is essentially digital garbage to them.
Best Practices for Passwords
- Length is key: A short password like "1234" can be cracked in milliseconds. Use a phrase like "Blue-Elephant-Sunset-2026!" to make brute-force attacks impossible.
- Share safely: Never email the password in the same message as the file! Text the password to the recipient or call them. This is known as "Two-Channel Authentication."
